I’m Steph, the photographer behind Bourne Creations. For more than a decade, photography has been about more than creating beautiful images for me — it’s about preserving the people, emotions, and moments that make your story yours.

My approach blends genuine storytelling with thoughtful direction. I want you to experience your wedding day without constantly thinking about the camera. I’ll guide you when you need it, help you find the best light, keep things relaxed, and step back when the moment deserves to happen naturally. And if you think you’re awkward in front of the camera, don’t worry — you don’t need to know how to pose. That’s my job.

Outside of photography, I’m a dad and U.S. Navy veteran. Both have shaped the way I approach the stories I’m trusted to document. Being a father has given me an even greater appreciation for photographs that become part of a family’s history, while my time in the Navy taught me preparation, adaptability, attention to detail, and how to stay calm when things don’t go exactly as planned.

On a wedding day, I’m there for more than the photographs. I’ll help straighten a tie, keep us moving when the timeline gets tight, calm the nerves, and hype you up when it’s time to create something incredible. I love the portraits you’ll want to frame, but I’m just as interested in the moments you didn't know were happening — the tears, laughter, hugs, and energy of everyone you love being together.

Philadelphia is home, but I’m always excited when photography takes me somewhere new. Wherever we are, my goal stays the same: to create photographs that bring you back to not only how everything looked, but how it felt.
